IDF SOLDIERS
123Genesis provides meals to soldiers taking a break from the fight, tactical equipment, and dozens of trauma kits.
“It’s very moving to see how grateful soldiers are for a glass fresh pomegranate juice,” Jane recalls.
123Genesis built and equipped a pavilion for solders to find a bit of rest and a chance to recharge from the fight in Lebanon.
DISPLACED FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES
Our “feet on the ground” not only visit military sites, but hotels where displaced families are living, and gathering places in communities to encourage individuals. Jane shares, “It’s hard to imagine how encouraging a postcard that expresses our love for Israel is to people who believe that the whole world is against them.”
Jane shares: “can you imagine what a treat it is to be taken to a place away from the sights and sounds of war and pampered for a day?” 123Genesis has done this for war weary families.
Both warm hand knitted hats and “comfort” pillows were made by part of the 123Genesis Team. Jane shares “It’s truly moving to see a child who has not seen home in over a year cling to his pillow knowing that someone on the other side of the world cared enough to make this for him.” “The knitted hats warm the heart and the body.” she added.
